We have a situation when 2000 server has to be reloaded
because of a login problem. We have several applications
loaded on this machine. Could you please advise what is
the easiest way to reload the OS without loosing the
apps. I am afraid if I reload my apps will no longer work.

Hello David,

Unfortunately, if you have to have an OS reloaded then you will have to
reload the applications as well.

Maybe if you could describe the logon problem, someone could help. I will leave a
couple of links that may help if they are lost password or user rights issues. If
this is a domain machine the problem may be easier to fix that you think for a user
rights issue. If it is OS corruption, etc you may be able to try and upgrade
installation first. --- Steve

Trying to fix the login issue is a better idea then reloading the OS.. What is the login issue your having?

Thanks for all suggestions!
The problem with the login is it prompts you to login.
After you enter valid user logon ID (tried all possible
local admin and domain admin accounts that worked before)
now, it comes back with press CTRL_ALT_Delete and prompts
you to logon. This keeps repeating. No error messages. How
can I fix this? We can no longer login locally or via
domain logon.
