I can't install things from cd drive, i can't adjust resolution, no audio hardware is detected, i can't get on the internet with my broadband connection. What is going on here.... When i reinstalled xp it never asked me for my product key which was kinda weird, could that be the problem?

It seems you did not "re-install" WinXP - you installed it over the top of
an existing installation. To get a clean installation, do this:
1. Back up all your data files. You will lose the lot.
2. Boot the PC with your WinXP CD.
3. When prompted, allow the hard disk to be formatted.
4. Follow the prompts to complete the installation.
