I recently reinstalled windows, but as I was unsure what I was doing, I named
it windows1. I now notice I have both windows and windows1 in c: Is this now
cluttering my system with an unneeded file and how can I get rid of one.

Hi

It seems as though you installed Windows, twice, onto the same
drive/partition. Unfortunately you have caused yourself a big problem. The
original Registry (associated with 'windows') would have been overwritten by
the new installation into 'windows1'. What this means is that all/most of
the programs in the Program Files folder 'may' not operate properly - if at
all.

Do you get an option to boot into either installation - I'm guessing not?

Hi Will, Thanks for your help
All programs seem to work fine. I don't have the option of booting into
either. I just feel things should be moving a little faster
