I installed XP only to discover that my HD was much too small, I was
left with 5gb of HD left. So I bought a bigger HD, installed XP that's
when it started:

1. How do I reactivate on a new HD????

2. I just realized that XP got installed on drive E: not C: which is
my my zip drive. Trying to install my programs is a major problem with
that because they keep looking for my HD on C: - Do I need to
reinstall XP again to fix this???

3. How do I reactive other MS application software on my new HD?? I
hesitate to active online for fear that my system will lock-up because
it looks like it's not a legal copy (it is legal!!!)

HELP!

Thanks!

Why does it look as though your version of XP is not a legal copy?

Wipe the zip drive and start over, installing XP on the hard drive. You can
activate XP on the same system as often as you want. Getting a new hard
drive is treated much the same as formatting your hard drive assuming no
other hardware was changed. In other words, you should be able to activate
over the internet. At worst, you'll be presented with a number to call
wherein you can explain what's going on and they'll give you a new
activation number but I'd be surprised if it would come to that based on
what you've posted unless, your XP CD is actually a copy.

Hint: remove the ZIP drive while you are installing windowsXP. re-connect
it after you have WXP installed.
