i accidentally uninstalled I think all my microsoft office 2003
applications(i can't access word or excel or open any files i receive from an
email) is there a way to reinstall it, the program was on our computer when
we bought it so we don't have a CD to reintsall it

Jackie,

"Can't access word or excel" is a bit vague. How are you trying to "access" them? With the
Start menu, or by opening an Excel or Word file from a folder window? Are Excel and Word
in the All Programs menu, but won't start? If so, do you get a message when you try to
start them? Try Start - Run, then type excel.exe or winword.exe. Does the program start?

Please contact the computer vendor tech support for assistance with your
"pre loaded" software installation.

Very difficult to uninstall accidentally.

You must go through quite a few steps.

Perhaps you have just lost the shortcuts or file associations?

Try re-registering Word..................

Start>Run winword /r

Note the <space> before the /r

And Excel thusly.............

1) Start>Run "excel.exe /unregserver"(no quotes)>OK.
2) Start>Run "excel.exe /regserver"(no quotes)>OK.

Your vendor should have provided you with a CD or at least a set of CAB files on
computer.

Either way I can't open it. Error message says "problem with shortcut" this
action is only valid for products that are currently installed. I was trying
to uninstall microsoft office outlook 2003 because it was interferring with
our quickbooks email which is outlook express. I uninstalled everything!
(tools,outlook 2003,word 2003,excel 2003,powerpoint 2003) I tried your
answer but it says "Windows cannot find excel.exe.
