Regular maintenance

Can anyone advise what the regular maintenance is for a
pc running XP Pro. I've got certain things in place such
as Anti-virus updates, scan disk, backups, disk cleanup,
but wanting to know if there is something quite important
that I am missing out on.
I've tried looking through the MS site to see what
articles are available on this subject but can't find
what I'm after.
Also can disk defrag be setup as a scheduled task?

disk defrag can be set as a scheduled task. I use Norton
System Utilities and have it set up so that every Sunday
Morning it;
run system doctor - clean up registry and pointers
run defrag
run anti-virus scan (updates checks are done daily)
run adaware (to clean out any spyware stuff)

I've been doing most of this for since Win2000.

start> click on run> type tasks.exe which is located in c%
systemroot% ex c:\windows\tasks\

1)to run taks at specific times select add schedule task
follow the steps
2) similary this canbe done for defragementation of hdd
3) regarding windows updates go to setting> control panel>
Automatic updates >click on enable automatic updates or
schedule them at specefic time
