I wonder if anyone can help please. I have no idea how the registry works. It
appears I installed a rogue copy of a programme and I now need to clear out
all it left behind when I uninstalled it as I now have a legitimate copy and
it won't work because of the bits left behind I think. How do I rid the
registry of these bits?

That's too general a question, for a specific answer. What is the program?
Have you checked on the web site for the program for info on uninstalling
it, uninstall utilities or faqs?

What happens when you try to install it?
