Hey people,

Using Ad-Aware to scan my computer the other day and got the following
results:

Type : RegData
Data : "c:\program files\internet explorer
\iexplore.exe" %1
TAC Rating : 3
Category : Vulnerability
Comment :
Rootkey : HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT
Object : scrfile\shell\open\command
Value :
Data : "c:\program files\internet explorer
\iexplore.exe" %1

I have yet to delete it due to the whole thing being related to IE and
fearing that if I remove it, it'll lead to some errors. Please
enlighten.

Thanks all.

Hello,

That is the incorrect data for an .scr (screensaver) file. I would
allow AdAware to delete it.
Then go to this site and download SCR file Association Fix
http://dougknox.com/xp/file_assoc.htm

I'm not the right person to answer your question but do you think you could answer mine? Hoe do you get into administrative mode to install Ad-Aware?
