Vic

I have asked numerous time on various NG's if somebody knew how to set
up IE so when a specific multimedia link is clicked (e.g. MP3, WMV, RM
etc.) a specific external program would launch. Nobody has been able to
answer how to setup IE this way, sooo

Thought a registry tracker might be helpful in that it could show me
exactly what registry entries are being sought when an IE links are
clicked. Does such a program exist? Would sure appreciate a program
name.

TIA
Vic

Hi Alan,

My thanks for that link. I was wondering why Sysinternals links would end
up at MS, now I know.

Ain't it time for lunch "down there" ?

Actually, it isn't IE that determines what program opens. Sometimes
it is the website (with embeded content), but usually Windows uses the
default media player for the type of media being accessed. In order
to better help you set your computer to always use a certain program,
we need to know what program you want to use.
