Registry Scanning/Repair for XP

Hi...
What's the XP equivalent of 'scanreg.exe'...and what's the best way to
maintain/clean the registry?

What's the XP equivalent of 'scanreg.exe'...

System restore (start, programs, accessories, system tools). You
should have a backup backup, though, since Restore has a way of
failing. Frequently recommended here is erunt.zip, a 575K freeware
utility.
