As the subject says, is there anyway via the registry or any system folder
files to distinguish between the 3 versions of Windows 2000?

- Volume licence
- OEM
- retail

Thanks to anyone how might be able to shed some light on this.

Not sure.

Check ProductID at HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion"
I know OEM versions have OEM in the ProductID ValueName.
