Registry in TS

I have made some a change to the resistry HKLM but when i Log out and
log back into the server it does not retain the changes.

I have done this in install mode , but still same problem.

any ideas?

Terminal services does not modify the way that HKLM commits changes.
Are you certain you have the correct priveleges to modify these
registry keys?

Yes, I have used REGEDT32 to make sure permissions are
set. One would assume if you did not have the permission,
you would get an error message - however the changes are
active for the time I am logged in, once I log out and
back in again, the changes disappear.

This is obviously pointless, as the changes I need to do
need a machine restart, and after a restart the changes
are lost.
