Can't run the standard Regedit, for that reason I'm looking for another solution
to "turnoff" DisableRegistryTools.

Install, copy the EXE to a folder or CD, and uninstall. It's a 1 File
Wonder, and the EXE will run anywhere.

Surely it would be better to ask the administrator/parents??? (the OP didn't
mention a virus, so there was no need to assume thats what caused the
restriction)

Can't run the standard Regedit because the "castrated" option of XP that
sys. admin. want to install on all workstations.

After seeing some of the stuff the MS ladies and gents have to put up with
however, the "mysterious ways" are undeniably understandable (and I'll
