registry domain folder

My Dell techie told me to delete the Domain folder in the
registry to get rid of unwanted pop ups.

That has worked. But the Domain folder has not rebuilt
itself.

1) do I need it?
2) am I now permanently protected against unwanted url
pop ups?

Please advise...thank you...Dom

Not sure what they told you - got any more info than that? I have no idea
why they had you go into the registry and I don't know what you mean by the
domain folder.

To stop popups in your browser, try http://toolbar.google.com
To stop "messenger spam" popups, enable your firewall or use another good
one that blocks *all* inbound traffic. Do this even if you aren't getting
messenger spam, as you need to protect your computer/network from the
Internet.
Also search for spyware/adware garbage on your PC that might be causing
popups - see Dealing with Unwanted Malware, Parasites, Toolbars and Search
Engines:
