Registry Cleaners

My subscription is about to expire for Registry Mechanic [PC Tools] (which
searches for redundant registry files and also will compact my registry), and
I am hesitating to renew because the existing version doesn't seem to be
approved by Micosoft for Windows Vista (my OS). Can anyone tell me please of
a similar app which works well with Vista?

I might be a fews days late but to give you this info is right on the money
for you. Get the program at Walmart - Defender Pro 5-In-1 version 5 has most
everything plus tools to tweak the System, Internet, and a Registry Cleaner,
plus Anti-Virus, Anti-Spyware, Firewall with lots of detail settings to stop
UDP and TCP ports, to allow or disallow ranges of ports. Its a well rounded
program but they also offer a 15-In-1 product which costs more. The Defender
Pro 5-In-1 version 5 costs $19.95 cheaper than most all other programming on
the shelves in various stores.

(FYI) I do not have the website webwalking.info anymore and so I cannot
figure out how to change the Display Name for these postings, got any clues.

After you sign into the forum with passport--just to the right of the "sign
out" button, is an "edit your profile" button that will let you change that.

OK, Gee thanks, I am now Michael @ Hotmail.
The Helkern attack seemed to be slacking some. I saw a special on TV that
Russia had been attacking computers of other nations, they say they did not
attack viciously but the report showed they hit everything that could be hit.
Do you think they are causing some of the Helkern stuff online. Their victums
shows a report that shows attacks just as fast as a anti-virus scan runs each
filename, it is a vicious attack.

It is likely that some of the malware being spread is coming from various
folks who consider the U.S. to be an enemy, for one reason or another.

In many cases, large numbers of rejected packets addressed to a dynamic IP
address turn out to be filesharing traffic--the last user of that address
was providing files, and the other users take awhile to figure out that they
have moved on.

I can't say for sure about your Helkern traces--let the firewall do the job
and ignore it.
