registry changes are not saved/ are restored after reboot

Hi,

ich want to change settings in
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion
changes take place, I can close and reopen registry, and I can see my
changes - but after reboot old settings (product key) is restored. Why?

After reboot I can import my registry with my changes I did before but
always after reboot my changes have gone. Why?

Change the key. I want to change to the right key! I've a cloned
harddisk and want to insert MY key. I don't want to install all new.
