Installed a seagate sata drive. I t installed to G drive. I copied my
operating system to it. Followed (winXP pro sp2)instructions to change the c
drive to D and the G drive to c. The computer boots up okay and seems to
funtion properly.
Norton gave me an error message abouit the G drive. Its speed disk shows a G
drive
installed.
My computer and explorer don't show a G drive. Go toMy Computer and right
click
choose manage. Then go to disk management it shows no G drive. But my 2 Cd
are lettered F and H. In Tweak ui under drive it has no chack in the g drive
box.
My computer thinks that the G drive is installed.
In the registry under Hkey local machine, system mounted device, data a G
drive is listed with the same exact dat as the newly installed G drive. If I
delete it and reboot the computer it gives me a norton error and the entry
goes back into the registry.
If I try to change my H drive cd the G drive will return to my computer and
the H drive leaves. But in disk management everything is proper.
Thanks in advance for any help that can be offered.
