Registered owner information

Hello. I recently encountered a problem with my windows
xp instalation, my ownership information had changed
to "Not You, No Longer". I have fixed the problem and
changed the ownership information back to my name by
editing the registry information but i would like to know
why this has happened please it is really bugging me any
help would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance

Sound like your system has been "hacked"! You may have gotten a "trojan"
virus or system is totally exposed to the Internet. A few things to do:

1) Activate a firewall, if you have a broadband (xDSL or cable) connect.
This should tell you which programs are access the Internet.

2) Run a complete, and up to date, anti-virus scan

3) Run an utility to remove "spyware" from the system

It's a fair chance you've been infected with something. Make sure your virus
defs are up to date and run a complete scan.
