I have activated my windows XP but never register it.
How can I register my product?

Registration is optional, not mandatory as Activation is. From Start>Run
type the following:

regwiz /r

Get on the net, then Start - Run the line
C:\windows\system32\oobe\msoobe.exe /r

If you really want to; the only benefit is signing up for two free
'instances'of Support. Other than that it is purely for the benefit of
MS Marketing
 
One other nebulous benefit. Next time your government sues Microsoft,
any settlement to purchasers is automatically logged. North Carolina's
settlement is in process and I didn't have to dig out every old OS disk
to transfer the PID #'s to the form.

Whenever my settlement voucher arrives, I'm looking at a copy of
Streets & Trips 2005.
