Register IHttpModule without using Web.config

Is it possible to register my own authentication IHttpModule (MyHttpModule)
without using web.config? The ideal case is to drop the assembly in the
website directory and automatticaly register MyHttpModule without having to
modify anything.

It's always best to give some context about your overall goal (is this your
own application or do you want to ease configuration for third party
websites ?)

Also I'm not familiar with IIS7 but AFAIK it have a nice console that should
allow to easily do that. You could also provide a setup application...
