regedit, msconfig and task manager start then quit immediatly

Cant get these programs to run. They pop up for a second
(or less) then close. They aren't minimizing, they're
exiting. I can't connect the start of these occurrences
to any particular event (loaded a new program, performed
an update, etc.) It started a couple months back and
nothing seems to help. I've run every antivirus program
I can find. Haven't tried reloading Windows yet...would
like to correct the problem without having to do that.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
