regedit.exe location or db.dll

Does anyone know which .CAB file the regedit.exe file is contained in on the
windows xp installation cd? The reason that I'm looking for this file is
because I got some sort of virus that messed up my regedit program. Here is
the error message that I get when I try to run regedit: "This application
has failed to start because
db.dll was not found. Re-installing the application my fix this problem."
Alternatively, it would be great if someone running xp could search there
system for db.dll and send me the file along with the correct location on my
machine to paste it. You can send the file to my email address. That is the
prefered solution. Thanks in advance!!

Hi,
Don't know if this will help in your case. I have read that you can rename
regedit.exe to regedit.com when the virus has stopped regedit.exe from
running. I checked my installation of XP Pro and cannot find db.dll.

hope that helps
Neil
