regedit closes automaticaly

Everytime I open Regedit it closes down in 1 or 2
seconds. Please tell me what is going on and how to stop
it.

You have a virus, probably SpyBot or SDBot. Update your AV Software and
re-scan your system. Additionally, you can do the following.

For REGEDIT: Open a Command Prompt window and enter

COPY C:\Windows\REGEDIT.EXE C:\Windows\REGEDIT.COM

Then enter

C:\WINDOWS\REGEDIT.COM

For Task Manager, use the same strategy except use:

COPY C:\Windows\System32\Taskmgr.exe C:\Windows\System32\Taskmgr1.exe

Look for any processes in the Processes pane that you don't recognize.
Particularly anything ending with an SCR extension, or a file called
WUAUMGR.EXE.
