I've benefitted from Microsoft's RegClean on Windows 98.

Does it work with W2K? (It seems to but doesn't give the same undo options.
(?)

How about with WinXP?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Definitely not supported. These things typically do more damage than good.
Better to address the issue directly rather than shotgun-scatter tactics.

Doesn't work with anything. Does break most things but no doesn't work with anything.
InOverMyHead those backups can really be worthless. Using them in no way imples they will put the
registry back to the way it was when you saved them. That is why Microsoft removed it.
