regain program use

How can I send a folder ( microsoft works) from local
file (C on my computer back to the all programs list
in the start menu so that I can regain use of the
complete program.please help

not sure if i understand exactly what you are seeking.. but if it is to
restore the icon (shortcuts) to the start menu .. somehow they got lost?
just use windows explorer --- find the folder on "C" drive and right
click...-- create shortcut.
Now just cut that shortcut and copy paste it onto your desktop..
Now,..--- open the start menu, and drag and drop the shortcut icon where
ever you want it..
