I have a PC with a reg key that can not be removed enev
after trying to change permissions. Its at
HLM/Software/BTIEIN and shows to be un-removable. I thinks
its een loaded with some adware that I have been removing
from the Registry. Any other ideas on removing it

Right click the Registry key in question and select Permissions. Add your username/user group to the permissions list with full control. The click the Advanced button. Highlight your username/user group and check the box Replace permission entries on all child objects............. and apply the changes. Go back to Regedit and press the F5 key to refresh the display. You should now be able to delete the key.

I have already done that and even booted in safe mode and
logged in as administrator. Eventhing has fail at removing
that key. There is also a lower key call "cache" that I
can not even click on without getting an error.

I'll keep at it.
Thanks
