Since I upgraded to IE6 in Win2k w/sp4 now if i delete or
add files to folders in Explorer, I cant see the refresh
or correct information while inside Explorer, I have to
close Explorer and open a new one. Never did this before.
Can anyone help... F5 won't refesh either...

Just so you know you are not alone...

I am having the exact same problem, and has only happened
since upgrading to IE6. Sometimes too if I click on a
folder it gives me the following message...

PATH NAME is not accessible.
The File Name, Directory Name, or Volume Label Syntax is
incorrect.

The label on the error box is Microsoft internet Explorer.

This is really frustrating, so hopefully someone will know
a fix.

After replying to this post the first time, I searched
microsoft again, and found the following article:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-
us;816625&Product=ie600

It indicates this is a known problem with IE6 and will be
addressed down the road. It talks about a file called
Shdocvw.dll.

I checked the downloads section and saw a patch for IE6
dated in October (after the article above), so I installed
it. When installing, it did install that file.

I'm hoping this corrects the problem, but have not yet
tested. Here is the link to the download.

Good Luck
