Refresh of active window every 60 seconds

When i am in an active Windows Explorer window, my screen
always refreshes about every 60 seconds. This is quite
annoying. Especially when i am trying rename files, etc..
I am in the middle of naming a file and the screen
refreshes making me start over everytime. Is there a way
to set this at a higher interval or turn it off
completely to perfom a refresh manually?

Windows Explorer will automatically refresh if a file in
the directory you are in changes. Most directories don't
have regular updates .... which one are you in ??
