I am trying to reformat my Hard Drive. I have WinXp, so
I downloaded a setup boot disk on 6 floppies, and all
that does is reboot windows. At one point I got the A:\
prompt, but it wouldn't take the command "Format:
C"....so I'm at a loss. Any help would be appreciated.

Go into your Bios and change it to boot from the XP CD. You can then follow
the prompts to format.

You do it as part of a reinstall of the system after booting the XP CD
direct. Enter Setup, and after the license agreement take New Install.
When it asks you to confirm where, hit ESC; select and delete the
current partition and make a new RAW one to be formatted at the next
stage
