I recently had a corruption on my hard drive and had to install a new one
with a fresh version of windows xp. I set my old hard drive up as a secondary
drive to get all my valuable files off and now want to reformat it so it is
completely blank including the corrupted os system. Any ideas from you
geniuses out there?

Hi,

After you retrieve your files, simply right click the drive in Windows
Explorer and select format.

*NOTE* Be sure that the system is not booting from the old drive before
formatting. If it is, formatting will lose the boot information and the
system will not load. If this is the case, you are better to just simply
delete the remnants of the old installation from the drive rather than
formatting.
