Reformatting HD

My system is all messy with files that are here and there and everywhere within ALL areas of my computer(s). Cleaning them out with third-party software still has not solved all the error msgs that come up from programs long deleted via ADD/REMOVE. After backing-up all my files to safe areas outside the computer HD I am now ready to reformat the HD but really do not want to be inconvenienced with calling MS with incredibly long authorization code(s) to activate my version of Windows XP Professional on three computers. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks

Reformatting your hard drive and reinstalling Windows XP
will require you to activate Windows XP. There is no way
to circumvent this procedure.

if you have a legal licence for each machine, then you shouldn't HAVE to
call MS. Just do it on-line.
