the windows setup cd provides you with the steps. Selecting new installation
it will ask where you want to put it, then asks if you want a fat or ntfs
system...etc...
Why do you beleive you need to "reformat" your harddrive?
I think that maybe you need to tune up the pc instead of wiping it clean.
However it is your choice. But it would be better to find out what are the
causes and resolutions, since you already have the symptoms.
One program that can provide some beneficial information and assistance is
systemmechanic. You should download the trial software and run all the
options it provides.....
There are other things that can be done if the results are not improved....
Another would be to "repair" windows, etc.......
How many or which programs are installed has *no* effect on the speed of a
computer. The only significant speed issue with programs is which of them
are *running*.
