Reformatting and installing?

I need to reformat and install XP for the third time. Will I be able to
install without re-registering and will I be able to re-activate it?

Registration is and was always optional. Activation is compulsory and you
will need to re-activate WinXP with your 25-character product key. Instead
of re-installing Windows repeatedly, have you considered using an imaging
product instead, e.g. Acronis TrueImage? It makes re-installation a breeze.

Actually that is what I love to do. I use to have Norton Ghost, but
mis-placed it. I will see about this one or do you recommend this one?

I readily admit that I'm prejudiced. I have used TrueImage for quite some
time and I'm happy with it. I have read quite a few not-so-flattering
reports about Norton products and am therefore not inclined to change.
Still - it's your decision. If you like Ghost, use it!

Why did you have to do it the first time, let alone the second and third
times?
