reformating hard drive

can anyone help! My computer geek friends tell me I
need to reformat my hard drive and start over. Some how
my comp has /had a virus and now it will not install any
printer drivers. I said okay fine - thinging there
would be a button to reformat - then reinstall eindows.
Cann't fine the button, is there one?
