Reformat without XP setup disk. Possible?

Gina

I recently got the NT Blaster Worm. I followed all of the
steps to remove this worm and I am still having problems.
I would like to reformat my hard drive completely and
remove everything; however, my HP computer didn't come
with an XP disk. (XP was already installed) so I cannot
simply put my set up disk in and reinstall from scratch.
How would I reformat without this disk. I have also tried
to restore my computer and I am still having my worm
problems. Any ideas? HELP!
Thank you in advance!

Gina,

If HOP did not give you a Windows XP CD, and you have backed up your data,
you may want to follow the HP instructions on how to clean install XP, if
not, you may want to purchase XP Home retail, but then you will lose the
warrenty on your system . You may want to contact HP and see what they say
about the clean isntallation procedures they use in this matter.

Greetings --

Ask HP. They would have had to have provided you with a means of
restoring the PC to its original, ex-factory state.
