I have a 3GHz PC with XP SP2 that is running sooooslow. All the best advice I
have is to is to reformat the HD and reinstall XP. ( I have tried all the
stand fix its!) I have my CD and product key but need to know if I wil have
any problems registering the product again ie when I go to activate the
software. Can anyone give me the good oil on how to do the reinstall and
reactivation? Many thanks. LawrenceB

Just do a standard installation:
- Change your BIOS so that it uses the CD drive as its primary boot device.
- Boot the machine with your WinXP CD.
- Allow the disk to be formatted when prompted.
- Follow the prompts.

Since you're installing Windows on the same machine as before,
you will have no problem with the registration process.

Make sure to back up your important data and EMail files before
you go ahead, and TEST YOUR BACKUPS!

Thanks so much for your prompt advice and time. Much appreciated. Will start
the 'procedure' in a few days after I back up. LawrenceB
