is it possibe to have a sort of mirror-image format on diffent sheets,
so that if i was to create a border on one sheet, it would show up on
the other?

There's nothing you can tap into that allows a macro to know when formatting
changes.

I think if I had to do this, I'd just copy the formatting from one worksheet and
paste special|formats to the other--and only when I wanted to.

You can group the sheets and make changes on one which will be done to all.

This is not automatic. Must be done manually.

If you go this route.........DO NOT FORGET to ungroup when done.
