Referencing the closest filled in cell

I've created a spreadsheet in which each row represents one day and the last
row is the total for the month. I need to have one of the month total cells
take the value of the most recent filled in cell. So if my spreadsheet is
set up like the below example, I want the column next to M (month) to pull
the value from lowest filled in cell. There will be blanks between the total
and the most recently updated day.

1 150
2 148
3 145
4 142
5
6
....
31
M 142

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Taylor

Try:

=LOOKUP(100^100,A1:A31)
