And following up on Rigo's comment, I most frequently see that when I
have some nicely working formula which references cell A1 for example.
If I then CUT and paste something over top of A1 it seems to confuse the
formula and it loses its reference to A1 and gives the #REF! error. On
the other hand if I COPY and paste then it doesn't confuse the formula.
