Reducing text beyond =left or =right?

Need to reduce 002831001.00 to 002831001 from one column to the next. Issue is they vary by size but it always has the "."
Column A Column
002831001.00 00283100
0028310.00 002831
199999.03 19999

Need a formula that will take the text in column A and produce column B with the only consistent point being the period
