Hello:
WindowsXP Home SP2 all security updates
DirectX 9.0c
Intel P4, 3000MHz
1024 MB PC3200 DDR SDRAM
NVIDIA GeForce FX 5900 (256MB)
ViewSonic VG800b (18"LCD) monitor

Have a reddish tint on standard letters just the" i 'and " l ", not on
capital letters.
Not in text documents or web pages but in the links to these items.
Looking at the address bar the i and l's wil have this color but not any
items on the page. This happens in all items including the Start - All
Program List.
Any Ideas why and a possible solution would be appreciated.
Thank You.
Take Care.

Did you try degaussing the monitor?

Maybe something to do with ClearType, if the others don't work...

Just a thought...

You don't degauss LCD monitors, only CRT's would have the coils or
benefit from degaussing.

Hello, A good thought. I had removed "Clear Type" from add/remove programs
but it seems my video card had intergrated "Clear Type". After turning off in
the video card the "reddish hue" on certain letters disappeared. Of course
lost "Clear Type" enhacement.
Thank You.

No degaussing on my ViewSonic LCD monitor.
