Why do I get Red X's in a frame where there should be a picture & or link?

Could be many reasons, see if any of these links help.

In IE, go to the Tools menu and select Internet Options.
Click on the Advanced tab.
Scroll down to the Multimedia section and make sure the box “Show Pictures†is
ticked.
