Red X Blocking access

Had a new computer built 2 months ago with Win XP Pro and Office Pro. System
runs fine. BUT when I go to access my bank account I get as far as getting
ready to pay a bill, Then I get a big red X and access is denied.
Next I went online to Yahoo to build a mini home page. Took all the
information until I was asked to make a choice of what kind of background
design I wanted, Big Red X . Access denied. What is Happening????????
