It has vanished. When I try to ssearch for it i get file
cannot be found message. The icon is misssing from my
desk top. Thanks...

Line 64 right side. Add this site to your favourites as it has tons of
little scripts already made up that fix things or make changes that you want
to make. This solves the problem of having to give you step by step
instructions on repairing or recreating the recycle bin. simply run the
script and voila there it is on your desktop. Have fun. {]:~)

Click Start - Rightclick My Computer - Click Explore - click the tools menu
- click folder options - click the View tab - scroll down to the hidden files
and folders section and seclect "Show hidden files and folders" - Click OK -
in the left folders pane drag the recycle bin to the desktop.

That's OK John. I am pleased to see so many good replies to the posts here
