Recycle bin trouble?

Whenever I empty my recycle bin the Icon doesn't change back to the empty
one. Then if you right click on it you can empty it again, but this time it
says would you like to delete "WINDOWS" from your recycle bin. Then if you go
into the recycle bin there is nothing there! I am worried that my wife or son
will empty it sometime and delete windows!!!

You cannot delete Windows via the Recycle Bin.
Simply empty the Recycle Bin and reboot your computer.

You might want to check your disk for errors.

I can't stress how important backups are.... Backup anything critical.
I haven't seen this procedure destroy data but if you disk is actually
damaged who knows.

Goto "My Computer"
Right click your drive C - select Properties
Click Tools on the top tab
Click Check Now... under the Error-checking section
Select "both" options to Automatically fix and Scan for and attempt...

When you click ok you will be told that it will schedule it on the next
re-boot. (OK)
Restart your computer and go have a coffee. (It might take a while)

Please repost your results.

I am having this EXACT same problem. Did you resolve this? It's an
annoyance that I can live with but I would riather find the fix. Just

Windows has Recycle Bin issues. The way to fix this (I am really unsue what
the ussue is because you did not explicitly say what your issue is) is make
a small txt file put something in it so it is not 0KB. Then delete it off
to the Recycle Bin. Then empty the Recycle Bin. After a few attempts at
this and errors you will get back what you expect.

Now emptying the Recycle Bin can in no way delete "WINDOWS." You could have
something in the Recycle Bin called WINDOWS but it is not your system
folder.
