Recycle Bin on multiple drives

I recently installed a second hard drive in my computer. The problem that
I'm having is this: I delete files from the second drive and they disappear
from the drive, however, the space used up doesn't reduce. I am deleting
large files (ie. movie files). I have my recycle bin properties set up on my
main drive as follows:
- use one setting for all drives
- and the check box for "do not move files to the recycle bin..." is NOT
checked.
After deleting files from my second drive, they do not appear in the main
drive's recycle bin????? The icons for the files are gone, but the storage
space doesn't decrease and there's nothing in the main drives recycle bin.
Can somebody please help me locate them and figure out how to resolve this
problem.... my second drive is full!!!! Thanks for your time and help, it is
appreciated.

If you're really sure you want to kill the file, hold the shift key down
while deleting to completely bypass the recycle bin.

Sorry to not directly answer your question, but I can't repro your error
here. When I send something from any drive to the recycle bin, the RECYCLER
Folder under every drive shows the file.

Have you tried emptying the recyle bin anyway?

The movie file is likely larger that the maximum amount allocated to the
drive for the recycle bin. In this case, the file is just dumped.

I am betting you are using Norton, which adds it's own protection to the
recycle bin - a last chance, if you will, to recover your files. You must
empty this area of the recycle bin also to free up the space.

Why would you expect to see a file deleted from one appear in the recycle
bin on the other drive?

Why would you expect to see a file deleted from one appear in the recycle
bin on the other drive?
The Recycle bin has one view of the recycle areas on all drives. If
you delete it from drive C: it appears in the recycle bin. If you look
in the recycled *folder*, on any drive, you can find the deleted files
on any other drive under the SID from that drive. However the files do
NOT reside on the drive that you are looking at the recycled folder
on, I believe. I guess that's why he thinks that the file would move
between drives.

Thank you for your help... you were 100% right with Norton being my problem.
I don't know why I overlooked it before, but when I tried your solution it
cleared everything up. Thank you very much, I appreciate it.
