recycle bin contents

Although my recycle bin has trashed items in it, they do
not show up when I open the folder. Can anyone help me. I
need to know how to get these items to be visible when I
open the recycle bin. I know very little about the
technical side of using the computer, so I need detailed
help. Thanks to anyone who can help. I'm running windows
XP home 2002.

Hi Gayle,

This seems to work for many: Make sure that something is in the Recycle Bin
(delete any file). With the Recycle Bin closed, right click and choose:
Empty Recycle Bin. When the confirm box appears, click ok. Reboot. Now the
Recycle Bin should work correctly.
