Recycle bin acting weird

When I delete a file, 2 copies are sent to the Recycle
Bin. When I open the Recycle Bin, the files disappear one
at a time. You don't get the opportunity to recover them,
even though they are there. You can empty the Recycle Bin
just fine.

This is one of those weird ones that you have to see to
believe!

I have the most recent updates installed. Searched high
and low. Anyone had a similar issue? How do I fix the
recycle bin?

Right click the Recycle Bin icon, go to properties, then on both tabs, clear
the check mark from the box that says Do not move....you might have to
reboot.

Already tried that. To no avail. It still acts the same
whether the check box is checked or not!

Any other thoughts?
