recursive styles for glossary using the same line

Hello,

I would like to create a glossary using two styles GlossaryTerm
GlossaryDefinition that are linked to each other (following each other).
Is there any way I can get them on the same line in the transition from
GlossaryTerm to GlossaryDefinition. Obviously I would like a new line
for the opposite transition. Producing a result something like this;

<GlossaryTerm> <GlossaryDefinition>
<GlossaryTerm> <GlossaryDefinition>
...
