Recurring Registration

I upgraded to XP a few days ago, but every time I reboot
I get the screen sequence introducing me to XP and asking
me how I want to register.

Despite my going through with the registration several
times, I still get the sequence each time I reboot. Any
ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

I have the exact same problem - it just started 'out of the blue'
(nothing changed but the power supply, but that was a month earlier).
The registration and activaction goes through without a hitch each
time, but this is a real pain in the ****. HELP
